Panelist

Vincent Mok

Vincent is a final-year student majoring in Information Systems and Marketing at HKUST. He learned about Lumina through the Dean of Students’ Office, which supported the Leadership Team of AIESEC in HKUST in taking the test two years ago.

“I used Lumina Spark to gain a deeper understanding of myself, particularly in stressful situations and during work. This experience also enhanced team building and improved mutual understanding within the team.”

Plato Ho

Plat just graduated from HKUST this year. He studied BEng in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management. As a first-year student, Plato joined the Self-Leadership Program hosted by the Dean of Students Office. He did the Lumina Portrait through the program and attended the debriefing session.

“I was impressed by its accuracy and the analysis of himself under different circumstances. Since then, when I did course and extracurricular projects, I became more aware of my teammates’ natural preferences and reminded myself to be flexible when meeting the opposite self or mirror self to create a better team atmosphere.”

Ashley Chan

Ashley is a final-year student majoring in Applied Mathematics, with an extended major in Artificial Intelligence and a minor in Astrophysics and Cosmology. She served as the president of the Student Astronomy Club in her second year. Being an extrovert, Ashley thrives on interacting with people, whether discussing celestial phenomena or engaging in self-exploration. She enjoys connecting with others to expand her horizons and deepen her understanding of her potentials.

“I have explored various trait theories, including Ninehouse, MBTI, and the Big-5 personality model. Among the tools I have encountered, Lumina Spark stands out as the most effective. It integrates the strengths of Jungian psychology, the Big-5 model, and other theories to offer a nuanced understanding of personality. Rather than simply classifying or labelling traits, Lumina Spark provides a spectral view that illustrates how different aspects of personality interact with one another. This approach has enriched my perspective on my qualities, particularly in how I perceive my paradoxes qualities.”

Winky Lee

Winky is an enthusiast in the field of youth leadership development. Currently she is in her second year at the HKUST, where she is majoring in Global China Studies, and being the Expansion Manager for the AIESEC in Hong Kong. With aspirations of pursuing a career in youth training and event planning, Winky is poised to share invaluable insights on the future of youth leadership.

Winky did Lumina through the Habit, Mindset & Wellness course, which is a common core program for all first-year students. The tool facilitated her self-discovery journey, and later she used it in the AIESEC teamwork and Student Partnership Co-creation program.
